About me
Esther Ortega has worked in education since 2010, serving in multiple roles that support high-quality bilingual and biliteracy instruction. Her experience includes working as a dual language teacher, instructional coach, bilingual specialist, and cohort leader for the Biliteracy Reading Academies. She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is deeply committed to additive bilingual programs that honor students’ linguistic assets. Esther believes in creating equitable learning opportunities that empower emergent bilinguals to thrive academically and personally. She currently serves as the Project Manager for the LIFT component, where she continues to advocate for strong instructional systems and meaningful support for educators and students.
